Clothing Full-length trousers and closed leather shoes or safety boots are to be worn during the course. All other tools and personal protective equipment will be provided and are included in the course fee.

Course schedule

Our full day Fibrecoat course is suitable for all levels of knowledge and is run by industry professionals with over 25 years experience in the fibreglass and liquid applied roofing markets. The practical course go’s into detail on how to prepare and apply the Fibrecoat system along with how to deal with any possible problems that only experience teaches.


10:00 AM - INTRODUCTION

An opportunity, over check-in and refreshments to introduce your trainers for the day and provide a brief overview of Allbase as a company.

10:30 AM - MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT

In this module, the trainer will detail all the materials and equipment needed to apply the Fibrecoat roofing system.

11:00 AM - HEALTH AND SAFETY

The course will go through in detail the risks associated with using Fibrecoat roofing materials to insure you operate safely and in accordance with current health & safety legislation.

11:45 AM - TRIM APPLICATION

We look at the different types of trims and how to apply them to the decking.

12:15 PM - LUNCH

Lunch, refreshments and snacks are provided throughout the course.

13:00 PM - APPLYING THE BASE SYSTEM

In this practical exercise you will be given the opportunity to mix and apply our Fibrecoat system to a dummy roof structure. During the material application you will be asked to overcome a number of possible “fly in the ointment” scenarios and how to troubleshoot your way out.

2:45 PM - FINISHES & GREEN ROOFING

We go through the different finishing options including how to integrate our green roofing system onto a Fibrecoat roofing surface.

3:30 PM - SALES AND MARKETING

For the business side of the product, we’ll show you where the market is at the moment in terms of price, your competition and the possible ways to promote and quote for jobs.

4:00 PM - CONTRACTOR INFORMATION

We will provide you with information on how to become Allbase Approved Contractors, which would allow you to offer our insurance backed guarantees and gain access to a number of additional services.

4:30 PM - COURSE FINISH

Upon successful completion of the course and after our training review, you will be sent your course certificate along with a starter pack.
