Q:
Low cost GRP roofing resins
From Liam Goodwin
Hi,
I’m looking to re-roof my workshop and have settled on GRP Roofing, along with your Fibrelast product, I have seen companies selling a low cost or standard GRP roofing resins and topcoats and wanted to know what’s the difference.
A:
Hi Liam,
Standard or “low-cost” roofing resins and topcoats are not recommended for use on fibreglass roofs and are aimed more at the “cowboy” element of the industry. In most cases these resins will not be fire-retardant or flexible and may even be blended down to cheapen the product.
We’ve made a GRP Roofing Buyers Guide for people wanting advice before starting a project.
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please give us a call.
