Q:

Using Acetone to clean hands

From Evan Wade

Hello,I am about to do a roof with your Fibrelast materials with a friend of mine who has already worked with fibreglass materials in the past, he said that the best thing to get the resin off your hands is Acetone? can you confirm if this is safe to use.

Thanks

A:

Hey Evan,

No, Acetone shouldn't be used to remove resin from your hands, while it will do a good job of getting stuck resin off, it also removes the moisture in the hands with it leaving your skin in a mess.

The best advice is to wear a good quality heavy duty glove, and to make sure you have covered all other areas of exposed skin with the relevant safety clothing.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please give us a call.
